******“Dieu et mon droit”

In the realm of the Unseelie Court, we, the Hearts, are the undisputed apex. Our ascension marks the pinnacle of achievement, and we carry a quiet certainty of our rightful superiority. Deference from the lesser suits is not merely expected, it is our due. After all, why shouldn't it be? Each of us carries the weight of our lineage, the echo of ancient power. "Dieu et mon droit" - God and my right - whispers in our blood, an undeniable mandate for our rule. The court revolves around us, for we are the embodiment of its very essence.

Special Rules for Hearts: Hearts can call any of their subjects to defend them. If they are sucessful in finding a champion (perhaps by promising “royal favours”), the other suit may do the dare to defend their royal patron.

Miranda is the eight of Hearts. She says she can’t remember how she ascended. Says it’s a blur of tequila, dust and inhibitions shed in the flickering light of a fire-barrel, well past midnight. Can she actually remember anymore? Maybe, but she’s not letting on. She struts through the city with her head held high, expecting deference and giving none. Now she literally wears her heart on her sleeve. A challenge to anyone who might try and take it. But despite the regal demeanor, there is something in her that makes it clear she fought hard to get here and when you meet her eyes, they dare you to come for her place at Court.
